I am a clinical psychologist (PhD) and specialize in therapy for couples and individuals over the age of 14. I also enjoy working with young to middle-aged adults who are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and difficulty adjusting to new life situations. I plan to be fully licensed in the winter of 2020 and am currently supervised by Amanda Sovik-Johnston, Ph.D.
Through connection to others and self-discovery we can find healthy ways of acceptance and living life to the fullest. I believe that the best therapy is one that uniquely addresses the person or couple I am working with, and I pull from a variety of techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
I enjoy anything outdoors (hiking, camping, yardwork, etc.), grilling, watching any sport that comes on TV, and raising my two young children. I am taking clients beginning in August. I work out of the Crozet office, conduct teletherapy, and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
