Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and specialize in working with children and families with a range of challenges, from significant behavior concerns to the more typical difficulties that arise in families. If your child struggles with behavioral, emotional, and/or learning issues such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Mood Disorders, and/or Anxiety, I will help you and your children learn better ways of problem-solving, emotion regulation, and communication. I have significant experience working in residential treatment and have an extensive toolbox of tricks and strategies to help you and your family feel better.
I also use my experience as a father of young girls to help families navigate more typical developmental tasks, such as following directions, bedtime routines, and managing meltdowns. Throughout, I work towards helping families and children find their strengths. In line with Virginia Family Therapy, I believe in the importance of relationships, community, working hard, and being active.
I am a father and husband, an avid cyclist and retired rugby player, and a licensed (VA, DC, MA) clinical social worker with 15+ years of experience working with children and families. I went to Boston College for undergrad and graduate school. I provide teletherapy to families across Virginia, provide walk-and-talks to those in Arlington and Falls Church, and am on the leadership team of VFT. You can reach me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
