Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and specialize in working with children, teens, parents, and families struggling with both the weight of daily life as well as the challenges of big life events. I have specific experience helping clients navigate issues with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and loss. With children, I approach my work from a play perspective and believe in the significant outlet that play can provide. With teens, adults, and families, I am active, warm, and relatable as I help promote change. I always strive to help restore balance to families and help children/teens and parents see and understand each other more deeply.
I earned my Bachelors Degree from the College of Wooster and my Masters in Social Work close to home at Virginia Commonwealth University. My experience includes many years working with children and families in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as within a small community in Africa, where I lived with my family. I feel privileged to have walked with families though some of life’s most difficult times. I take my perspective and experiences into my work in private practice to help families feel better and reach their goals.
I like coffee, my kids, my German shepherd, camping, creeks for playing in, and reality TV. I work out of the Falls Church office and provide office visits, outdoor walk-and-talks or sitting sessions at Cherry Hill Park, and teletherapy across the state of Virginia.
