Hello! I specialize in individual and family therapy for children struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and academic/behavioral concerns at home and in schools. I utilize talk therapy, movement, and activities to help clients and their families reach their goals and improve their lives. As a certified yoga instructor, I integrate mindfulness and movement seamlessly into sessions and am trained to counsel culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
I am a Licensed School Counselor and Trauma-Informed Mental Health Clinician, with a specialty in Grief, Loss, and Life Transition. I am a certified Positive Discipline Educator for parents and teachers, as well as a Keeping the Joy in the Relationships facilitator. I have served as a school counselor in Alexandria City Public Schools and have worked in private practice on both coasts. I am currently a Resident in Counseling and am supervised by Christine Bower, LMFT. Throughout, I am committed to collaborating with youth, parents, schools, and other providers in order to best support my clients.
I currently live in Fairfax, Virginia, but have spent time in Boston, Honolulu, Newport, Seattle, Washington, and San Diego throughout my life. I love to dance, read, travel, explore the wilderness, spend time with my family, and commune with animals. Perhaps my most favorite thing to do is swim and ride waves in the ocean.
I provide teletherapy services and can be reached directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
