Hi! I work with children, teens, and young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, and difficulties adjusting to the many changes we have been faced with recently. I am in my first year of the Masters in Clinical Counseling and Psychotherapy program at the Institute for Clinical Social Work and am working toward my License in Professional Counseling. Although I am new to the field of therapy, I have significant experience helping teens and young adults tell their stories as a writing teacher at the University of Virginia. In this role, I learned the importance of giving people a safe space to tell their stories and, more importantly, for there to be someone who will listen.
I am from England, where I earned my degree in English Literature and Language from Oxford. I moved to Charlottesville in 2017 to pursue a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Virginia.
As a student, I work at a reduced rate for Virginia Family Therapy. I receive three hours of supervision weekly in order to provide the best care for my small caseload of clients. I offer outdoor therapy, teletherapy, and face-to-face sessions from our Charlottesville-East location on Pantops. You can reach me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
